Once the Viva Chicago Latin Music Festival opens on Saturday, August 23, Chicago will be filled with a certain heat that only comes once a year! The vibrant 20th annual Latin music festival, taking place in Grant Park for the weekend, showcases local, national and international talent in the various Latin music genres of salsa, reggaeton, mariachi, nortena, Spanish pop y más. Daily hours are from 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and admission is free.
Other highlights include a meet-and-greet with Chicago's very own musicians at the Side Stage and new this year, a lowrider car show! Kids can get in on the fun at The Kid's Zone, which offers face painting and other activities for children of all ages. The festival will also include traditional foods as well as authentic wares, clothing, artwork, and jewelry from local and international merchants.
